Monocryl Plus Suture, PS-2, Undyed, Size 4-0, 27" is a synthetic absorbable monofilament suture designed for efficient wound closure in soft tissue procedures. It incorporates an antibacterial agent, triclosan (Irgacare MP), which helps minimize bacterial colonization on the suture surface. This characteristic makes it particularly suitable for surgeries involving patients at higher risk of infection or for procedures in environments with potential bacterial exposure.

The suture maintains 50–60% of its original tensile strength after one week, decreasing to 30–40% by the end of the second week. This predictable degradation profile supports wound healing while ensuring that the suture material does not persist beyond the necessary support period. 

With its monofilament structure, the suture offers excellent pliability, enabling smooth and uniform passage through tissue with minimal drag. This design reduces tissue trauma and enhances surgical control, particularly in delicate closures. Its non-coated surface contributes to a consistent and secure interaction with tissue during handling.
